About the Journal

Arta Medica (AM) is a peer-reviewed, double-blind scientific journal, the official publication of the "Nicolae Anestiadi" Association of Surgeons of the Republic of Moldova.

The journal is dedicated primarily to surgical specialties, while also covering a broad range of related fields, including clinical medicine, dentistry, pharmacy, social medicine, and public health.

Founded in 2002 by PP „Arta Medica", the journal has evolved over time into an interdisciplinary platform for the dissemination of medical knowledge and experience.

The journal currently publishes original articles and review papers, clinical studies and case reports, conference proceedings, short communications, correspondence, official documents, and editorials, covering the field of medicine and health sciences.

Arta Medica is a fully open access journal, providing immediate and unrestricted access to all published content under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike license (CC BY-SA 4.0).

The print edition of the journal is distributed free of charge to members of the "Nicolae Anestiadi" Association of Surgeons of the Republic of Moldova.

Starting in 2026, the journal is adopting a continuous publication model, ensuring faster dissemination of research findings to the scientific community.

Starting January 1, 2027, Arta Medica will accept manuscripts written exclusively in English and will transition to an online-only format.
