Submission Preparation Checklist
As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.- The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
- The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
- Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
- The text is 1.5-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
- The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.
Copyright Notice
The author grants Arta Medica the right of first publication of the work. Copyright on any article published by Arta Medica is retained by the author without restrictions. For papers with more than one author, the corresponding author agrees, and is authorized by the co-authors, to make decisions regarding the prepublication release of information from the paper to the media, government agencies, or both.
By submitting the manuscript together with the Authorship Statement Form (covering letter) to the Editorial Office electronically, the author registers the manuscript online through the Editorial Copyright Section, placing it under the copyright agreement with the editor. This process protects both the author and the editor, and allows the coordination of permissions for reprints, post-prints, or other uses.
Under these terms, the author retains ownership of copyright and all other rights. Authors may enter into separate, additional contractual arrangements for the non-exclusive distribution of the journal's published version of the work (for example, depositing it in an institutional repository or including it in a book), provided that its initial publication in Arta Medica is acknowledged.
Any disagreements should be submitted in writing. The author acknowledges that failure to comply with Arta Medica's requirements may result in the rejection of the manuscript.
As a result of this Copyright Notice (together with the Licensing Terms), authors and readers operate under the terms of the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International License (CC BY-SA 4.0), while the Arta Medica editorial office and publisher retain the right to enter into agreements with libraries, repositories, and databases for the dissemination of the published scientific information.
What CC BY-SA 4.0 means in practice:
- Anyone may share, copy, and redistribute the published article, in any medium or format, and adapt, remix, or build upon it, for any purpose, including commercial use — provided that the following conditions are respected.
- Attribution — appropriate credit must be given to the author(s) and to Arta Medica as the place of first publication, with a link to the license and an indication of any changes made.
- ShareAlike — if the material is remixed, transformed, or built upon, the resulting work must be distributed under the same CC BY-SA 4.0 license.
- Authors do not need to request permission from Arta Medica for reuse or adaptation of their own published work, as long as the original publication is properly acknowledged.
- Authors are encouraged to deposit the published version (or a link to it) in institutional or subject repositories, personal websites, or academic profiles, at any time after publication, with full attribution to Arta Medica.
